San Luis Obispo, CA (PRWEB) May 8, 2007 -- HauteSpot Networks Corporation, Electrosonic Inc., and Iconix Video Inc. jointly announced today that they will be demonstrating high definition, low latency, wireless video streaming at GovSEC - The Government Security Expo & Conference in Washington DC, May 9-10, 2007, booth # 1337.
The demonstration, specifically designed to show the full potential of high definition video in surveillance applications, uses an Iconix Video HD-RH1 camera, an Electrosonic VN-MATRIXTM video encoder/decoder pair, and a HauteSpot Networks HauteRouteTM HR-IXPSXP wireless bridge pair to capture a high motion, high quality, high definition 1080i video image at 60fps, compress and encode the image into an IP stream, transport it wirelessly, decode and decompress the stream and play it back over a high definition video monitor…all within 80 milliseconds. The demonstration shows that the latency in the image is almost undetectable to the human eye.
Perfect for applications where low latency video is essential, the demonstration serves as a reference point of what is possible with currently available equipment. Applications where high definition, high speed images are essential, such as facial recognition, license plate recognition and more, can now be supported with this simple to configure and use architecture.
The Iconix Video HD-RH1 camera incorporates an expansive array of features found only on top-of-the-line HD camera systems and is switchable between 1080p, 1080i, and 720p, as well as NTSC and PAL. The camera system, which includes a very robust, separate camera head and processing controller unit, is the smallest high performance HD camera in the industry. The lightweight HD-RH1 remote camera system is comprised of a 1.32" x 1.50" x 1.92" POV camera head weighing 2.5 oz.; a 3.5 lb. universal HDTV controller unit measuring 8.4" x 1.8" x 12"; and power supply. Cables between the CCU and camera head come in 3, 6 and 10 meter lengths. The camera head is easily mounted on or concealed within walls or housings and then connected back to the controller at a remote location.
The Electrosonic VN-MATRIXTM encodes and streams video or graphics sources at resolutions up to 1080i HD or UXGA and decodes the content back to the original screen resolution, providing visually lossless image quality in real-time at bandwidths between 3Mbps and 35Mbps. The product supports streaming of stereo audio and remote control through RS232 or Keyboard and Mouse interface. The compact 8.47" x 12.17" x 1.74", can be directly coupled to the processing controller of the Iconix Video HD-RH1 interface.
The HauteSpot Networks HauteRouteTM HR-IXPSXP is a wireless bridge which is capable of streaming standard definition and high definition video, with low latency and constant delay variation at rates up to 65Mbps. It is a completely modular platform which allows for various radio modules supporting a variety of unlicensed, government only, or export radio frequencies, and comes in both outdoor and indoor/portable enclosures. It is full TCP/IP compliant and supports IP Multicast over UDP. The Electrosonic VN-MATRIXTM encoder/decoder is connected to the HR-IXPSXP using standard 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connection.
Optional pan-tilt-zoom control is offered through the serial port of the HauteRouteTM HR-IXPSXP using Serial over IP protocol.
Government agencies, system integrators, and OEM's are encouraged to stop by booth #1337 to see the demonstration for themselves.
